PLANETS ARE US |
Planets On-Line, explores the premise that in the not too distant future, mankind will have damaged their home planet so much, like many other dwellers in the universe, that a new industry has been created to supply them with a new one. |
This show is very much in the style of 'infomercial' home shopping; where the audience are given special deals to pack up and move on from what is obviously a disposable planet, destined for destruction. |
Unfortunately, as time moves on, other planets suitable for earthlings settlement are becoming few and far between. Also, they are a lot more expensive. Therefore 'Planet’s On-Line' are creating planet replicas, made from synthetic materials and space garbage disposed of throughout the universe. (Recycled rubbish, how ironic) |

Our second character arrives on the show to put a stop to all the silliness, and assures the Sales person that they do not require a new planet thankyou very much. The Salesman in turn gives a very good argument that says that it is much easier to go from one planet, use it up, leave the mess behind and move onto the next. “How easy is that!”, “We just have to look after what we have” is the response. |
The more outrageous the salesman’s proposal becomes, the more the audience is guided to realise that actually just taking care of our home and environment is a lot easier and makes a little more sense than planet hopping from one imitation disposable world to another. Besides, doesn’t everyone hate moving? Getting the cat settled for a start is a nightmare. |

GAME SHOW SUMMARY |
This is a Quiz Show. Three members from the audience are selected to compete in an environmental 'Temptation', where they have buzzers, have a flashing scoreboard and are quizzed on their knowledge of recycling, preserving the food chain and their part in it, the results of littering, and other environmental questions affecting their world. We even include 'A mad minute' and the winner gets a prize at the end. The audience is also divided into three cheer squads, each for a team member to add to the involvement. Also, if one of the contestants doesn’t know the answer they can 'phone a friend' from the audience. |
