Senior Production Class
In its second year in 2010, this course was designed to allow
students who are looking for a challenge to experience all facets of
producing, performing, writing and designing theatrical
productions. The students will also be able to hone their
skills in workshops that will develop their abilities as performers,
using teaching methods that are a proven Victorian College of the
Arts standard.
Most importantly the students will have
the opportunity to participate in and create three separate
productions across the year, ranging from a simple workshop
performance to a full scale production. One of these
performances will include a shakespearian play.
This
is a course that has brought some amazing moments to the stage over
2009, and we are looking forward to seeing what can be done in
2010. While entry to the couse is in audition/interviewed
based, any student aged 13 years and older wishing to try something
a little more and incredibly rewarding in encouraged to
apply.
Junior Musical Production Class The
Junior Musical Production Class has been has been designed to enable
students to learn about the process of a musical, from auditions to
performance. This course running from March to August,
was created to give a unique experience to students between
the age of 6 - 14 years.
Honk! Jnr is an Olivier
winning contemporary retelling of Hans Christian Anderson's classic
story, "The Ugly Duckling". It is a fun filled adventure in
discovering the joys of being different. It has a 'Joseph
...Dreamcoat" like score that kids will enjoy. Honk! Jnr is a
great reminder of all the things we hope kids learn - accept others
for who they are.
Please note that enrollment is essential
prior to the commencement of the course. Performances of the
production "Honk! Jnr" will be at the Cranbourne Theatre on
Saturday14th and Sunday 15th August.
Film and TV
Having had a brief break since 2007, when Adlib presented its
first ever feature film "Formal", we are pleased to announce that
Matt Hillman will once again be taking our new Film and TV course
for 2010. The course is designed to allow students to
learn frame composition, editing, screen direction and performance,
and will also have some focus on visual effects. Students will
also be encouraged to experiment with what they have learned
outside class time.
The students will take part in
numerous film tasks and projects, and the final products that are
produced will be shown in a 'film festival' style, and then
broadcast live via Adlib's new Youtube Internet Channel
"Omega". Students will experience life both in front of and
behind the camera.
Crescendo

In our Singing Troupe Crescendo , students learn the many

is a part of group performance. All ages are welcome.
